Find My Prayer is offered free of charge by Return to Faith Ministries. By using the site you agree to the following.
Using the prayers
The prayers in the main library are historic texts of the Christian tradition. Pray them, print them, read them aloud, share them with your parish, your family or your small group. The histories written for this site may be quoted with attribution to Find My Prayer.
Your account
Reading the library needs no account. You do need to be signed in to save, like, post, suggest a prayer or report a post. Use one account per person, keep your sign-in details to yourself, choose an appropriate username, and you are responsible for what is done through your account. Your username is public when you post; your email address is not.
Community prayers
When you post a prayer to the community section you keep ownership of what you wrote, and you give us permission to display it on the site. Post only prayers that are your own work.
Do not post:
- Anything abusive, hateful, obscene or harassing.
- Content attacking another Christian tradition or church.
- Advertising, solicitation, fundraising or spam.
- Someone else's copyrighted text posted as your own.
- Personal information about another person.
Posting, suggesting and reporting are rate limited, and posts that look like spam, advertising or a repeat of something you already shared are refused automatically. Do not try to work around those limits with extra accounts.
Moderation
Anyone can flag a community prayer, and flagged posts are reviewed within 48 hours. A post that draws reports from three different members is hidden straight away pending review, and a report still unresolved after 48 hours hides the post automatically until a person has looked at it. Posts that break these rules are removed, and repeated violations can cost you access to posting. You can also block a member so their posts no longer appear for you — that is for your own peace, and it is not a substitute for reporting something that breaks these rules.
Not pastoral or medical advice
This site is a prayer library. It is not a substitute for your pastor, priest, doctor or counsellor. If you are in crisis, please reach out to someone near you or to your local emergency services. The deliverance and protection prayers are devotional texts offered for private use by lay people; they are not a rite of exorcism and they do not replace the ministry or discernment of your priest or pastor.
Sharing and printing
Shared and printed prayers carry an attribution to findmyprayer.com. Please leave it in place when you pass them on.
Apps
These terms apply to the iPhone and Android apps just as they do to the website, in addition to the terms of whichever app store you downloaded from.
Availability and changes
The site is provided as is. We may add, correct or remove prayers, and we may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed.
