Prayer to Jesus (St. Anselm of Canterbury)
Jesus, good above all other,
sweet Jesus, most desirable,
Jesus, brightness of the Father's glory,
Jesus, my most sure hope in life,
Jesus, my consolation in trial,
Jesus, look upon me.
Draw me to yourself so that I may know only you, love only you, and rejoice in your love above all other joys. Give me strength to walk in your ways, courage to endure what your love permits, and peace to trust you when I understand nothing. Amen.
