Blessing of Animals and Pets

O God, who created all living creatures and gave them into our care, we ask your blessing upon these animals. Keep them healthy and safe, and grant that in caring for them we may learn something of your own gentleness. By the intercession of Saint Francis of Assisi, who called every creature brother and sister, may we praise you, Lord, in all your works. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
