The Chaplet of the Holy Spirit
Begin: Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
First part — in honor of the Holy Spirit's mission. On each of five groups, pray one Our Father and one Hail Mary, meditating on the Spirit descending upon Our Lady, upon the Apostles at Pentecost, upon the Church, upon the sacraments, and upon your own soul.
Second part — in honor of the seven gifts. On each of seven beads, pray one Glory Be, asking in turn for the gift of:
Wisdom. Understanding. Counsel. Fortitude. Knowledge. Piety. Fear of the Lord.
Conclude:
Let us pray. O God, who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be always truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
