The Daily Examen of St. Ignatius

Lord, I come into your presence and ask for your light. I give you thanks for the gifts of this day — for the moments of grace I noticed and the ones I did not. Show me the day as you saw it. Walk me back through its hours: where was I drawn toward you, and where did I turn away? For every failure of love, I ask your forgiveness. For every grace received, I give you thanks. Now, with your help, I look toward tomorrow. Give me what I need to meet it, and let me begin again in your mercy. Amen.
