Blessing of Candles (Candlemas)

O Lord Jesus Christ, true light who enlightens every one who comes into this world, pour forth your blessing upon these candles, and sanctify them with the light of your grace. Grant that as this visible fire dispels the darkness of night, so our hearts, enlightened by unseen fire, may be free from every blindness of sin, and with cleansed minds may perceive what is pleasing to you. Who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.
