Blessing of Water
A blessing of water for sprinkling homes and persons, drawn from the Church's ancient rite.
O God, who for the salvation of the human race
made water one of the chief instruments of your mercy,
be present to us as we call upon you,
and pour forth your blessing upon this water.
Grant that all who are sprinkled with it
may be cleansed in mind and body,
kept from every assault of the enemy,
and made worthy of your grace.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
