O Lord, let me not live to be useless.
Give me a heart to serve you while I have strength,
and hands willing for the work you set before me.
Let me not waste the hours you have lent me,
nor spend my days in things that will not last.
Do all the good I can,
by all the means I can,
in all the ways I can,
in all the places I can,
at all the times I can,
to all the people I can,
as long as ever I can.
Grant this, Lord, for your mercy's sake. Amen.
