Prayers for Family & Vocation
A Prayer for Those Seeking Work
A contemporary pastoral prayer for unemployment and job seeking, drawing on Matthew 6:25–33.
God, provider of every good thing, I need work.
You know the applications sent and unanswered, the interviews that went nowhere, and what this waiting is doing to my confidence.
Do not let unemployment convince me I am worthless. My value was never in my paycheck.
Open a door I cannot open. Send favor where I have no connections.
Give me diligence today and rest tonight.
Provide for my needs and the needs of those who depend on me, as you have promised. Amen.
Contemporary pastoral prayer based on Matthew 6:25-33
About the prayer
