These are the last two stanzas of Verbum supernum prodiens, the hymn St.
O saving Victim, opening wide
The gate of heaven to man below;
Our foes press on from every side,
Thine aid supply, thy strength bestow.
To thy great name be endless praise,
Immortal Godhead, One in Three;
O grant us endless length of days
In our true native land with thee. Amen.

About the prayer
Thomas Aquinas composed in 1264 for Lauds of the new feast of Corpus Christi at the request of Pope Urban IV. Detached from the longer hymn, they became the standard opening of Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament throughout the Latin Church. The English text here is the classic translation by Edward Caswall.
