A Prayer for a Sick Child

Lord Jesus, you loved children and you healed them. Look on this child of ours, so small in that bed. Take the fever, ease the pain, hold back what we are most afraid of. Give the doctors and nurses skill and speed. Give us steadiness in front of our child and a safe place to fall apart afterward. We cannot carry this. You can. Heal our child, Lord, and let us bring them home. Amen.
