A Prayer for Teachers and All Who Raise Children

Lord Jesus, you took children in your arms and blessed them, and you warned us not to hinder them. Give me patience for the hundredth question and kindness at the end of a long day. Let me see each child as you see them — not a problem to manage but a person to form. Guard my words; they will be remembered longer than I intend. Give me wisdom to correct without crushing, and to praise without flattering. Make me worthy of the trust placed in me. Amen.
