In the name of Jesus Christ, and by the power of His Cross and His Blood, we ask You, Lord, to bind the power of the evil spirits and to command them not to blind or bind us, nor to take vengeance against us, our families, our friends, our homes or our possessions.
We ask You to protect us from all harm, and we place ourselves under the mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen and Beauty of Carmel. Amen.

About the prayer
Chad Ripperger. It asks God Himself — not the one praying — to restrain the activity of evil spirits, which is why it is safe for lay use: the whole force of the prayer is petition addressed to the Lord. The Carmelite reform of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross produced a deep literature on discerning and resisting diabolic interference, and this invocation belongs to that current, ending in the Marian confidence typical of Carmel.
