A Prayer for Discerning My Vocation

Lord, you called fishermen off a beach and a tax collector from his table, and they knew your voice. I am listening, and I am not certain. Quiet the voices that are only fear or ambition dressed as guidance. Show me where my deep gladness meets the world's deep need. Give me freedom from every attachment that would decide this for me. Whatever you ask — marriage, ministry, single life, this work or that — give me the grace to say yes before I know the cost. Amen.
