A Prayer for Letting Go of What I Cannot Control

Father, I have been trying to hold the whole world together with my hands. Show me plainly what is mine to do, and let me do it well. Show me what is not mine, and give me the courage to set it down. I release into your care the people I cannot fix, the outcomes I cannot guarantee, and the past I cannot rewrite. You have been God for a long time without my help. I trust you with the rest. Amen.
