A Prayer for Expectant Parents

God our Creator, you formed this child in secret and you know every day already written. Watch over mother and child through these months. Ease fear, steady the body, and give rest at night. Where there is worry over what the tests may show, give us peace we cannot manufacture. Prepare our home and our hearts. And when the hour comes, be near with your protecting hand, that we may hold this child with joy and thanksgiving. Amen.
