Thérèse of Lisieux promised to “let fall a shower of roses” from heaven. Those praying this novena traditionally watch for the sign of a rose. Thérèse's “Little Way” taught that ordinary acts done with great love are the path to holiness; she was named a Doctor of the Church in 1997.
