Novena to Saint Anne
Prayed for nine consecutive days, usually leading up to St.
Glorious Saint Anne, filled with compassion for those who invoke you
and with love for those who suffer,
heavily laden with the weight of my troubles,
I cast myself at your feet
and humbly beg of you to take my present intention
under your special protection. (Mention your request.)
Vouchsafe to recommend it to your daughter,
the Blessed Virgin Mary,
and to lay it before the throne of Jesus,
so that He may bring it to a happy outcome.
Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted.
Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day meeting God face to face,
and with you and Mary and all the saints,
praising and blessing Him for all eternity. Amen.
Good Saint Anne, mother of her who is our life, our sweetness and our hope,
pray to her for us, and obtain our request.

About the prayer
Anne's feast on July 26. Devotion to the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary is ancient in both East and West, and this novena has been popularized especially by the Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre in Quebec and its pilgrimages since the 17th century. She is invoked as patroness of mothers, married women, grandmothers, and those seeking a spouse or the grace of childbearing.
