A Prayer for a Wedding Day

Eternal God, you have brought these two together and made their love a sign of your own faithfulness. Bless them on this day and in all their days. Give them tenderness in the ordinary hours, honesty when it costs something, and laughter that outlasts hard seasons. Let their home be a place of welcome, and their love a shelter for others. What you have joined together, let no one separate. Keep them faithful until, in your mercy, you bring them home. Amen.
