A Prayer in Chronic Illness

Lord, this has been going on a long time, and I have run out of new ways to ask. I am tired of explaining myself to people who do not understand. I am tired of hoping and being disappointed. Give me grace for today's portion only. Let me find some good in a body that will not cooperate. Send me people who stay after the crisis passes. And if this is not taken from me, let your grace be sufficient, and your strength be made perfect in my weakness. Amen.
