Prayer for the Vision of God (St. Bede the Venerable)

And I pray thee, good Jesus, that as thou hast graciously granted me sweetly to drink in the words of thy knowledge, so thou wouldst also of thy goodness grant me one day to come to thee, the fountain of all wisdom, and to stand for ever before thy face. Amen.
