Prayers for Mental Health
A Prayer in Depression
God, I cannot feel you, and I am praying anyway.
The weight has not lifted. The days blur. What used to bring me joy asks more of me than I have.
I am not asking you to explain it. I am asking you to stay.
Be the floor beneath me when I cannot stand.
Give me one hour at a time, one small mercy at a time.
Send me people who will not flinch, and give me the courage to let them close.
Hold my life for me until I can hold it again. Amen.
