Prayer Against Oppression
Catholic theology distinguishes several degrees of extraordinary demonic activity — temptation, oppression, obsession, infestation and, most rarely, possession.
Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You under a weight I cannot lift.
By the power of Your Cross and Your Precious Blood, I ask You to lift from me every oppression of the enemy — every heaviness of spirit, every cloud upon my mind, every crushing of my hope, every weariness that is not my own.
You said Your yoke is easy and Your burden light. Take from me what is not Yours to give, and give me instead Your peace.
Send Your angels to bear me up. Blessed Virgin Mary, Comforter of the Afflicted, pray for me. Amen.

About the prayer
Oppression describes an exterior harassment that weighs upon the person without controlling him, and it is by far the most common of the extraordinary forms. This prayer addresses it directly, contrasting the enemy's weight with the Lord's promise in Matthew 11:30 that His own yoke is easy and His burden light.
