Almighty and everlasting God, in your love and mercy you gave to St. Monica the gift of patient prayer and unshakable hope for the conversion of her son Augustine.
Grant that I may not grow weary in praying for the one I love. Draw them to yourself as you drew Augustine, that they may return to your friendship and rejoice in your grace.
