Suscipe Me, Domine (Prayer of Monastic Profession)
The verse from Psalm 119 sung three times by a monk or nun lying prostrate at solemn profession, prescribed in chapter 58 of the Rule of St.
Receive me, O Lord, according to your word, and I shall live;
and do not disappoint me in my hope. (three times)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
