Prayer for Breaking Curses of the Occult
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of His Cross and His Blood, I renounce every involvement in the occult — my own, and that of my ancestors.
I renounce all divination, fortune-telling, tarot, astrology, ouija, séances, spiritism, witchcraft, sorcery, magic and every false worship. I renounce every oath, vow, dedication, covenant and ritual made to any spirit other than You.
I ask You, Lord, to break the power of every curse that has come upon us through these things, to sever every bond they created, and to cleanse my family line by the Blood of Your Son.
Forgive us, Lord, and claim us wholly for Yourself. Amen.

About the prayer
A prayer of renunciation aimed at occult involvement, which Scripture consistently treats as a real and forbidden traffic (Deuteronomy 18:10-12; Acts 19:19, where the new Christians of Ephesus burn their books of magic). The Catechism of the Catholic Church treats divination and magic under the First Commandment as offenses against the honor due to God alone. The prayer's structure is deliberate: renounce first, then ask for the breaking of what the renounced act established, since the Church has always held that a foothold freely given must be freely withdrawn.
