Protection Prayer
A short daily prayer of protection, meant to be prayed on rising and kept brief enough to be prayed from memory.
Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of Your Cross and Your Precious Blood, protect me this day.
Protect my body from harm, my soul from sin, my mind from confusion, my heart from bitterness, and my will from every influence contrary to Yours.
Protect my home, my family, my work and all that You have given me. Let no evil enter where You are welcomed, and let nothing that is Yours be taken from You.
Blessed Virgin Mary, cover us with your mantle. St. Michael the Archangel, stand guard. Holy Guardian Angels, keep watch. Amen.

About the prayer
It gathers the three protections the tradition always names together — the Blood of Christ, the mantle of Our Lady, and the guard of St. Michael and the holy angels. The practice of beginning the day by placing oneself and one's household under God's protection is ancient in Christian devotion, formalized in the Roman Ritual's morning blessings and in the monastic office of Prime.
