Prayer of St. Benedict Against Evil

May the holy Cross be my light. Let not the dragon be my guide. Step back, Satan. Never tempt me with vain things. What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself. Cross of our holy Father Benedict, be for me a light in the darkness, a shield in temptation, and a sure defense. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
