Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Composed by Pope Leo XIII in 1886, reportedly after a troubling vision of the trials facing the Church.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

About the prayer
For decades it was prayed after every Low Mass. It remains the standard prayer of spiritual protection, prayed at moments of temptation, fear, or spiritual attack.
