The Armor of God Prayer (Ephesians 6)

Heavenly Father, I put on today the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. I fasten the belt of truth around my waist: let me speak and live the truth. I put on the breastplate of righteousness: guard my heart by the righteousness of Christ. I shoe my feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace: let me go where You send me. Above all, I take up the shield of faith, with which I can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. I put on the helmet of salvation: guard my mind in Christ Jesus. I take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: let Your word be quick and living in me. For I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world. Therefore I stand, praying at all times in the Spirit, in the strong name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
