Prayer to Overcome Evil Passions and to Become a Saint

Lord Jesus Christ, I do not ask merely to be rid of my sins; I ask to become a saint. Take my anger and make it zeal. Take my fear and make it reverence. Take my desire and make it love. Take my stubbornness and make it perseverance. Take everything in me that the enemy has twisted and straighten it for Your service. Give me a hatred of sin and a hunger for holiness. Let me not be satisfied with escaping evil, but let me pursue the good with my whole heart, until Christ is formed in me. Mary, Mirror of Justice, form me. Amen.
